It was a great script, i have search for this for a long time. But it seems not to be able to search in large playlist (as 4000) so I wonder if I can change the script so that can search in playlist up to 10 or 20.000 mp3. I have a very large collection, so I should need to search in many mp3 at same time.

Thanks

Doesn't seem to work with iTunes 8. I've got about 20,000 tracks, and about 80% have full lyrics. I chose an obscure word that I was pretty certain was only in a small handful of tracks. I checked the lyrics prior to search to make 100% certain the word was present and spelled correctly. When I searched, my dual G5 was heavily taxed for several minutes before the Lyrics Search Results playlist appeared. The playlist was empty, finding none of the search words I'd previously confirmed. Also, while searching, iTunes 8 was completely locked up with the spinning beach ball and in the dock the icon had the "application not responding" until the search was finished. Once iTunes 8 even crashed. I repeated the test several times with different words, and none produced any results at all.

Sam, you can create a smart playlist with all songs whose gender is FOO, then use the script on this playlist. About the status indicator, I'll try to do it for a future version, thanks!
